I just found a very great business opportunity for existing and prospective exporters.

But before that let me introduce myself, the simplest way...

My Name is Albert  O. Henry, I am an Import, Exporter and SME Consultant. I’m also a Business Developer with a deep interest in Information Marketing. I am bursting with all excited as I write this report on this very powerful home based business report.

My fellow next exporter, it’s easier to run this business when you have the right information. The way out of our problems in Nigeria is to start exporting agricultural products to foreign countries. If you are waiting for Govt to come and save you, you are there till you grow tick white hairs...Lol

  • Eat what the giants eat and you will end up becoming one.

A successful man is the one who has taken his/her time to work and dine with his/her mentor. This is what you get at the end of reading this report.

I have been involved in so many businesses. The truth is I have had several successes and failure in different businesses. So each time I find a breakthrough in any of my businesses I am always very happy and excited to tell others.

Back to the main business on the ground...

Charcoal Export Business in Nigeria – The Target Market

As regards the charcoal exporting business in Nigeria, the market is large and the demand is unquestionably high!

In business, the absolute fundamental aim is to make money out of satisfying customers ...try and satisfy all your customers and you see them coming for more.

Charcoal is mostly required throughout the world, especially in temperate countries in Europe like the United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Spain, Belgium and also Asia and the USA. Exporting of charcoal is a high earning business in foreign exchange ranging from $270 to $500 per MT (metric tons) in price. UK imports 70000 MT of charcoal annually, of which 70% of it is gotten from Africa, including Nigeria.

Prices of Charcoal at the International Market is between 270 Euros to 290 Euros, like I mentioned above.

Nigeria’s Charcoal is heavy as compared to other competing countries and that is why our charcoal is in high demand.

Let do some calculation, though am not 2 good at 'maths'

The total cost for completing each ton of charcoal is in the range of N28, 260 and the selling price to the Buyer which you saw the contract is at 290 EUROs per ton. The exchange rate of Euros to Naira do fluctuate between N405 to N410 (using 2019). Let's use N405 to a Euro so that we don’t get too excited and miss it. That will give us N69, 600. That’s a profit of N51, 340. You then multiply it by the number of tons you are sending to the buyer.

In this case, if you have very quality and heavy charcoal that gives you 23 tons, which will give you a profit of N460, 820.
That is the number way of making money in the charcoal business.

A letter of credit is highly essential for buyers and sellers. It involves two banks, the foreign and the local bank; that you want them to be involved in your letter of credit. They will give you a format of how they want the letter of credit to be done. You can send the sample to the overseas buyer. The overseas buyer raises the letter of credit and talks to his own bank. The letter of credit will now be sent back to your own local bank. Your bank will contact and inform you that a copy of your letter of credit has been sent in your favour. This gives you the confidence that you can send the goods and you will be paid. When you have sent the goods, you can take your documents including the bill of laden to the bank.

The bank will cross-check what you sent with what the buyer required for, and if specifications were met, they will pay you your money. A letter of credit is the best way to transact payment with your foreign client.
